Beading with the Modified Ladder Stitch

Hello! Earlier I showed you an alternate method of doing the base row ladder stitch to start your brick stitch beading project. See this video: Another Way to Bead the Ladder Stitch. I also want to show how I build upon my modified ladder row.

The arrows on the pattern indicate where I will start my row. As you can see, the first two rows begin on the same side. When you stitch the traditional way, the second row will start on the opposite ends

I find that by completing my ladder stitch in this manner, I can better control the tension of my bead row and it is easier to eliminate any gaps between the bead. If you haven't tried stitching this way yet, please do and tell me what you think.

Do you have another way of stitching that helps or speeds up your beading process? If so, would you like to share your technique? I'm sure many beaders have picked up or created a shortcut to make beading more fun, right?
