More Christmas Charms - Girl Elf, Christmas Trees

It feels strange to work on Christmas designs when we're still in September but, I know there are people out there who prepare early so the holidays can be enjoyed peacefully as it should be. Me...I get lost in the frenzy and kick myself for not starting early. Not this year! Hmmm...is that is what I said last year, and the year before and probably every year prior to that?

If you're building your Christmas gift giving list, here are some designs that you can purchase or make yourself.

This little female elf goes along with the male elf made earlier. I made her by request and can make one for you too.

This is a new peyote stitch Christmas Tree that I will have available as charms and as a pattern. I haven't listed it yet so I don't have a specific Etsy link to follow but you can check out my sidebar for my updated listings.

Christmas Elf Charm / Pendant, Peyote Stitch

Here is my newest Christmas design. It's a little elf. I wanted it to have a pointy face, big ears, thin legs and big black shoes. I hope I accomplished that look. I made the elf with the peyote stitch beading method. The charm will be listed soon (Charms & Pendants section) with the pattern to follow.

Peyote Stitch Panda Charms & Brick Stitch Fish Charm on Keyrings

I decided to make use of my large size 8 Delica seed beads. The beads are so much bigger than the size 11 beads I usually use. I must say, it was a lot easier to finish up my project without any error in stitching.

The size 11 beads have a hole size of .8 mm. while the size 8 beads have a hole size of 1.5 mm. That .7 mm. makes a lot of difference.  My eyes were much happier too. It is unfortunate that I don't have a variety of colors in the 8's. It would be fun to make more designs with this size beads.

I made Panda charms and Fish charms to add to keyrings using 10 lb. Fireline thread.

Scarecrow and Crow Bead Patterns, Peyote / Brick Stitch

When I made this scarecrow design, I was thinking of the dove and mynah bird that joins our Pooch Dog during his morning meal and I knew I had to add a bird to complete this pattern set. I see these birds on the fence nearby...lurking...spying...ready to ambush. As soon as I pour the food, ZOOM! They make their descent and hop around awkwardly on our open patio.

Our dog, an old beagle mix, is a very slow and messy eater. Whatever food that spills out of Dog's bowl is immediately gulped down by the birds that do their funny dance next to his muzzle. Sometimes Dog eats so slow that the birds get impatient and steal the kibble from right under his nose.

You can see me in the morning chasing the birds away. It's a fruitless effort because as soon as I turn my back, the mynah and dove are right back again. The dove is quietly persistent but that mynah is definitely sassing me with its loud squawking! Sometimes I think Dog purposely shares his food with the birds...but I guess that is what friends do.

In honor of best friends of the unlikeliest sort, here is a scarecrow and crow set for you. Best friends forever!

Thanksgiving Turkey Bead Pattern, Peyote Stitch

I was seriously lacking some Fall designs so I was very excited to start working on this Turkey pattern. This is a peyote stitch project. Again, I used size 11 Delica beads and FireLine thread. I love the Autumn colors - rust, cranberry, orange, squash. I hope you like this Turkey!

Find out more about this Turkey here!

The charm will be available soon for those who don't have time to DIY. You'll be able to find it in the "Charms & Pendants" section of my shop.

Halloween Witch Bead Pattern, Peyote Stitch

Hooray! I was able to complete another pattern to add to my Halloween themed designs. I hope you like this fashion forward witch with her lavender hat and matching cloak. She's a wee enchantress measuring no more than 2 cm. wide x 2 cm. in height (but don't underestimate her powers of cuteness!). I had fun stitching her up and I think you will too. She would look lovely as earrings and attractive as a pendant. This delightful witch will soon be listed in the Holiday Pattern section of my shop.

Li'l Red Devil Bead Pattern, Peyote Stitch

This Li'l Red Devil peyote stitch pattern is sooo brand new that it is not in my shop just yet. I always bead up an actual piece before I make the pattern available. Sometimes the finished beadwork looks different from the graph image which means I need to go back and do alterations. I'm happy that it took me only one try to get this Devil down! I will have this up in the holiday section soon.

Kawaii Emoji Strawberry Bead Patterns, Peyote Stitch

Juicy strawberries with goofy faces for those who enjoy sweet and silly. These are peyote stitch bead weaving patterns to make the two strawberries. For those who prefer to brick stitch, you can always turn the strawberries to the side when making your stitches. These colorful fruits are really cute and would make fun earrings. In the photo below, center image, I attached the beadwork to a lanyard clip and keyring.

Simple Music Note Earrings

We have a lot of music in our household! We have piano players, guitarists, a singer with a beautiful voice and now a clarinet player (squuueeeak!) Where do I fit in? Well, I just clap along and make the themed gifts.

In honor of the newest instrument addition in our home, I made these musical note earrings. These are hand assembled with components that I snagged a couple of months ago.

Mouse and Cheese Charm Set

Scurrying along in my shop is this little grey mouse with his lucky find - a big chunk of cheese. This mouse may seem familiar because he also appeared my Aesop Lion and Mouse set. He is taking a break from saving mighty jungle animals and will settle down for a nice lunch.
